Biography

He was born on 21 September 1969 in Konjic. He obtained the professional title of History and Geography Teacher at the Pedagogical Academy of the University of Džemal Bijedić in Mostar, and the title of Professor of History at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. At the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Tuzla, he obtained a Master’s degree in Social Sciences in the field of History, and at the University of Džemal Bijedić in Mostar he defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Herzegovina during the Period of the Implementation of Planned Economy after the Second World War”, thereby obtaining a PhD in Humanities in the field of History. He worked at Primary School Hilmi ef. Šarić in Tarčin, and at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, serving as Deputy Director. At the University of Džemal Bijedić in Mostar, he holds the status of Full Professor and has served as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. He is a member of the ANU BiH. He served as President of the Board of Directors of the Second Primary and Secondary School in Konjic, President of the Bosniak Cultural Community “Preporod” Konjic, and was a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Historijska misao” (CIMOSHIS Tuzla). He has published eight books, over 50 scientific papers in indexed journals, and participated in more than 40 international scientific conferences, seminars, and symposia. He is married and has two children.
