Svjetlana Marušić was born on 8 June 1981 in Mostar. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Mostar, earning a degree in Law. She began her professional career as a trainee in the Technical Service of the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, where she continued to work as an advisor for normative and legal affairs. She is married and the mother of three children.
